be(Hold)
Physical Installation
2017
In collaboration with Sofia Luisa

be(Hold); is an interactive sculpture that plays with a user’s temporal perception. A user is confronted with a physical representation of the digital hourglass icon moving at different tempos and arcade buttons that seemingly allow them to ‘progress’ through various citations regarding time. The piece cares to amplify aspects of the relationship that one creates with their personal devices; do we often find ourselves staring at a graphical interface that is loading a browser window or an app? Does the attention that one gives to their computer or phone cultivate a cyborg intimacy unlike the one we have with living things?
